Map and Compass
1F
Since we raised the water level in the previous chapter Link can start out in this dungeon right away. Climb up the left ladder which is now reachable from within the water. Once you're on the other side take out the three "Hovers" which are little insects skating over the water. Watch out for the regenerating blue water bubble called: "Kyameron". After the three insects are distroyed a chest appears. Inside is the first Small Key.Go down the stairs and bomb the left inlet. Behind the crack there is a chest with the map, but there are also two "Zol" slimes hiding underneath the ground. As soon as you walk over them some shadows appear. The Zol then comes up and tries to attack you. One hit with the sword should be sufficient.
Back in the previous room lift the lowest skull to find a Small Key which can be used to open the door to the left. If you have the red shield you can block the red fire balls which are shot from the stationary statue.
In the next room the yellow construction shoots a projectile each time you use your sword so make sure not to stand either on the same height or width when using it. There a Red Stalfos in here along with a Blue and Red Bari. Take out all the enemies if you like and walk down the stairs. Go up one room and collect the third Small Key from under the pot.
Return to the previous room and unlock the left doorway. Walk up the next room and take out both red & blue Stalfos brothers. Stomp at least one of the mole heads with the Hammer to active the turn switch which raises the water level.
If you like to find some extras bomb the crack in the wall here for a net gain of 5 Rupees (the other pot contains the bomb you just wasted). Back in the room where you unlocked the last door the raised water allows you to reach the central room of the dungeon with the big chest in the center, but it cannot yet be opened. From here on little orange creatures drop down from several tubes throughout the dungeons in indefinite numbers. These little guys are Piroguses and can be killed just as easily as a Zol, but the regenerate constantly.
Go to the southern passage and follow along the corridor in clockwise direction to end up near the beginning where you can get the Compass from the chest by pushing the lower block to the right.
Obtain the Hookshot
Back in the central chamber the only direction you can go in is the southwest passage so take it. Again a red and blue Stalfos duo awaits you kill them if you like and walk down the stairs, go up and collect the key in the same way you did last time...
With the small key in your possession the upper left door can be opened in the central room. Go left, take out the Bari and hit the distant switch with either Boomerang or an arrow.
Next hit the lever to raise the water for a second time. Turn the switch to red again, as you need the orange pegs down later on. Walk around the central room back to the place you were before to reach the left side of the room below. The skull at the end contains a Heart, but there's also a Zol hidden on the path towards it. After recovering if necessary go left.
In this room push the lower block on the bottom section to the left and the center one up to reach the stairs to 1F. The path to the top leads to a dead end, but it does show you where you're going end up pretty soon.
1F
Charge your sword up and wait for the three Hovers to get close, then take them out with the Spin Attack before you push the block away from you. At the bottom there are some recovery hearts in case you need those. Watch out for the rotating fire wall while walking up and pick a gap to fall down through. If you wish to collect an optional Red Rupee fall down the left gap.In any other case go down right. With the switch turned to red the orange pegs are down and the passage to the right is free!
Collect the big key here, return to the big chest and find the special item of this dungeon: the "Hookshot". Use it to pull yourself towards distant objects with this item. Try it on the skulls on the upper ledges it's sure to work just fine!
The left ledge contains a recovery heart and the right one the Small key. Aftering collecting at least the key grapple towards the pots at the top to find a locked door. Open it up and follow the left path. Take out the Red Bari, then the Biri it leaves behind, remove the skull to reveal a switch and push the grey statue onto it, or else the doors slam tight again. DON'T go up the right passage, but instead head to the right side and go down the left of the two passages to B2F.
B2F
Hit the lever right away to drain the water from this floor and follow the passage to the left. Going down here leads back to the beginning, but you can collect two chests with Red Rupees halfway.then go up and you'll find a large room with several cascades. Optionally, go up the doorway here too to find some stocks under the 6 pots at the dead end. Push the third to left block to the right to find a hidden chest with another Red Rupee.
Look carefully at the streams of water and pick the second rightmost fall to walk through. On the other side of the water there's a hidden room with some recovery hearts, among the other items and some blue Baries. Follow the staircase up and take out the single blue Bari along with the red Zols.
The path at the bottom leads to a current with three Hover which cannot be defeated, because you can't touch them (they are below the height of your sword. As annoying as it is jump in, collect the key from the only skull around and unlock the passage to the right with it. In the center you can bomb the wall to find another hidden stock protected by a single Red Zol.
After going through the left passage the boss lurks around here somewhere. There's no door with a big lock, it's just out in the open as if the boss invites you to come by his place... Anyway, it's boss time!
Boss: Arrghus
This aquatic jellyfish which has about 14 puffballs covering him up. You need to get rid of all the puffs before you can actually attack him. In order to do so you must use the hookshot to attract one of the puffs from his main body, then hit it with the sword twice to kill.
After a little while the puffballs start to rotate around their master trying to damage our young hero.
After getting rid of all of them Arrghus starts his next phase. He jumps up and falls down and moves around the room diagonally. If he hits Link now it causes 2 Hearts damage!
Take it out by hitting it 6 times with your Master Sword (or 4 with the Ice Rod) to receive a Heart Container and the second Crystal for beating him. This maiden actually refers to the evil thief being "Ganondorf".
