Sword test Designs
Just two swords I've been playing around with to help get my creative juices flowing. They aren't done and I'm not sure if I'll finish them. I might play around with the designs of them a little bit more but I thought that you people would like to see what I've been up to. I hope the admin won't get mad at the fact that this really has nothing to do with Zelda. Ow, do you think I should get a copyright on my swords so no one steals my ideas (but don't copyrights cost money?)

the first looks... pointy. good for stabbing. but not slicing, because it would break at that part right above the hilt that's reminicent of magalink's waists. the second one's blade looks like the master sword. and the hilt is just a little too big. i would put more detail into the grips on both of them. about the copyright, do you mean your original swords? and i don't know if they cost money, i know patents do, but i think that's only to hire the attorney. i don't know, legal stuff scares me. though actually, why would you want to copyright it? i know it sounds like a stupid question, because at first no one wants their work copied, but unless it's making you rich or famous, who cares? that's my personal opinion.

AWESOME SWORDS! In my opinion, they do not have to be technically correct or realistically usable..In fantasy art, anything goes, magic, witchcraft, Link's AWESOME spin attack.... Maybe your swords are made out of a stronger substance than we know of, or magically blessed...I dont think they would break anyway, they have solid lines...And about the copyright, you can copyright anything you want, just go to www.copyright.gov Its a small fee and a little form to fill out, and yes, I would copyright them if I were you. Beautiful job (as always)....

Well, I guess magic holds them together. If I try to make swords that would be realisitically usable then my design freedom would really drop. I don't know about the copyright thing, I'm just afriad that someone might take my ideas and say it's their own.

Wonderful swords, BH!!! As always, you've amazed me with your talent in swords. I'm no good at creating new swords like you! And hey, I think dte's idea is a good one-->you should try it!

color and try different angles on them before even considering copyright. and also consider using the zlib liscense, which basically says that people can use you stuff for their projects and such but not claim it's theirs (go to www.opensource.org/licenses/zlib-license.php to check it out) it's basically the liscense i use for my idea, art, and above all models

Hey thats cool KR, I never heard of zlib license, that might be more of what BH needs. I dont know, I just popped in here because I just had to say again, YOUR SWORDS ARE SO AWESOME! you really have a talent...
