Nice idea! But Tatl's "ding ding" is much less annoying than Navi's "hey!". But it's still a situation I would love to see.

Personally I kinda liked Navi's 'hey!' - it made me laugh. And 'watch out!' did too. I think its funny. Tatl's 'ding ding' isn't as interesting, and tatl's relationship with link is more friend-to-friend vs. navi's guardian/assigned partner status.

The reason I say Tatl sucks is due to her obnoxious, and ignorant attitude towards Link(even when she begins to like him). She pretty much spends 50 % of the time in the game being a (insert insult here). It took her the whole game to actually be likeable, and by that time, the game was over. At least Navi was simple and straightfroward with everything she said. Especially with the enemy info. Navi was never offensive. Most people only like Tatl more than Navi solely due to their different calls. And if you ask me, that's just stupid

i gotta agree with you on that. i like navi's calls, too. plus, they are the only actual spoken words in the game. and tatl's "what? you don't know about [insert enemy name here]" is not only annoying, but overused, and i DO know about them. great pic. (i think i've tried to slice her before)

To be honest only Epona, Ricky, Moosh and Dimitri are the companions I ever liked , why? because they don't talk. Navi, Tatl and Elzo don't seem to want to shut up.

Technically, they're his transportation. Not companions. Then again, I think Ezlo may be even worse than Tatl. Which is saying something.

i really hope that any future Navi/ Tatl/ Red King/ Ezlo ish compnaions have an "off" option in some menu, prehaps right below your prefered targeting scheme.

Ok, first, Tatl has more of a personality than Navi but I like Navi better. Why? because 1, I like her calls better than that 'ding ding'2, Link didn't have a choice whether to be with Tatl or not 3, Navi was more motherly to Link and 4, I can't stand that stinkin' bratty Tatl always saying 'you don't know about this and that?' when I do and she is always making up excuses for herself-and she also says bad things about Link and other people. Note: she says that Link's careless! I don't belive this.

ok, i've seen a LOT of Navi-bashing stuff on this site. I have to say, i like Navi. The thing is, the first time you're playing the game, when you're deep in a strange, dark dungeon, and a monster you've never seen before pops it, having Navi there is comforting, not to mention pretty darn useful. Once you know the game, she isn't necessary anymore, but she won't shut up. I just tune out her "hey!"s and "listen!"s, and the only time she annoys me is in the very beginning, when she doesn't give you a choice of talking. But seriously, if you've been playing for only a little while and you don't know how to open a door, having her there is better than having to go check the manual. And I really like her warnings of nearby Wallmasters, because those things scare the crap out of me. For some reason, people don't seem to hate that owl dude. I liked him the first time, but now, he FORCES you to listen to him talk very slowly, and as you're hitting A trying to speed it up, you mistakenly tell him to say it all again.

I like all off them because Navi has this friendship with Link but Tatl has more history even know she is a mean I think its because she has only really seen the bad parts of people not the good. She also is worred about her little brother (I think he is younger) So by what I have seen Tatl has been though bad thing so thats how she thinks of people. Ezlo is kind of like Tatl in how he speaks but at lease sometimes he is funny. How I see it is just how I see it. I like Tatl because she has that bad girl adatude is there anyone in Oot who has that pesanalate. . I still don't get why people don't like Navi still.

ahh, she's better off! i'm not fond of link's fairy companions. i'm like the animal companions that hardly talk, if not, don't talk AT ALL!

I'm more fond of Navi then anybody. She may be annoying, she may never shut up, but I like her. One time, I forgot how to work a certain item, and she reminded me. I even started to miss her when she left Link. Who I don't like is Ezlo and the King of Red Lions, they talk way too much and don't help a darn bit. I don't see why people keep wanting to kill Navi or some other fairy compainion, they actually help a whole lot, you can use them as a lock-on! picori_girl, can you bring the animal companions into a dungeon to help defeat a boss? I didn't think so.
