Iron Knuckle
This is actually my first time to use photoshop to color anything. I'm pretty happy with how everything looks (I guess the cast shadows on the shield could use work, but I'm just glad they don't look completely off). Most of the fanart on this site is a little on the cutesy side, so I thought I'd darken the place up a little. . . Should get something else done in a week or so.

looks a bit more like a darknut than an IK, but either way it's good stuff. i wouldn't exactly call it dark, but you're right it is a break from cutesy. i need to sit down and make some battle scene renders. back to the pic, the sword doesn't quite angle out right, and the perspective work on his right leg is not quite right. however, it's difficult things to master, so you get kudos for doing so well elsewhere

As far as darkness, this guy is more to build up steam for another picture I'm planning on doing soon. . . scary stuff if I can get away with it. Anyway, right leg. . . meh. The sword actually is supposed to look like it's single edged and gets larger towards the end (and stuck in the ground. . which I suppose I might as well have done). Of course, if I didn't make it obvious, I didn't do my job. Thanks either way.

spikey... the sword does look a little angled, but i don't see anything else wrong. it's not exactly dark, as KR said, because the colors are light, but it really works well. i'm not sure why, but it does.
