Indeed, and I attest that to my 'Twilight Zelda' theory; that there are two Zeldas, or at least a Zelda who is evil (for a time). As for this image, I like how they've tried hard to incorporate more aesthetic detail into each new character. It seems like The Lord of the Rings movies have inspired the art direction of recent games.

Wow, I think Il try that hairstyle(I think my hair is long inuf). I am not shur but you know that falkon in the trailer? A few people think that could be Zelda autside the twilightrelm. Thers a japanees legend about a boy who turns into a wolf at night and a girl who turns into a falcon at day. Maybe Nintendo got theyr ideas from that.

Someone asked if Zelda would be able to fight in the dress. I personally think yes, if you watch chinese movies like hidden dragon and crouching tiger all the girls who fight are dressed in those long dresses and all...you may never know! Anyway GO ZELDA! (i kinda like the Ocarina of Time hairstyle better...)

That's where you're wrong my friend...I can't imagine Link with *this* kind of sword. Zelda might be using another style of swordfighting...who knows. It does not look like a useless piece of crap to me, Light swords can be effective, I know from experience.

I'm a BIG Link AND Zelda fan ,but let me tell you! Link IS NOT the only one who can fight! i've got a feeling that she knows how to use that sword! and i'm with "hylianfate"as a matter of fact .... climb the brick wall at the castle like you're entering it (on ocarina of time) with the mask of truth ON and talk to the statue it'll say " Responding to your mask, this strange stone statue talks to you... I overheard this... They say that, contrary to her elegant image, Princess Zelda of Hyrule Castle is, in fact, a tomboy!"

I want Zelda's sword! It looks light! I looove light swords. It would be cool if you got to play as Zelda for awhile, like in Star Fox Adventures were you have to be Krystal in the beginning.

I seriously doubt that Zelda will do any full-on close range combat at all, let alone with that sword. If she does fight, she'd really, REALLY be better off fighting similarly to WW, or just make use of her magic. Cuz if she uses that sword, there's no doubt she'll just get in Link's way.

Oh dont say that,she will probably get in the way cause Link would be checkin' her out and get distracted ,seriouly,you never know,Zelda would try to land a blow,Ganon blocks, then hit him with your sword and he wouldnt be able to dodge 2 attacks.

I think the left handed thing has something to do that your enemy usually expects you to be right hamded and therefore it makes more sense to be a left handed sword fighter

well, if you fight with a two-handed sword, it mat bring down the difference.

This is my absolute favorite art of Zelda, hands down. She is gorgeous. Sure has a serious look on her face, doesn't she?

(Possible end theory) What if this art depicts her at a knighting ceremony? What if the game ends with Link being knighted by Zelda and he becomes the first of the Guardian Knights.

I bet Zelda is gonna do some fighting...she is a Tomboy(I am one seriously)...I really never heard of any other princess fighting..let alone hang onto a sword. Swords are heavy things..unless they are specialy made....and her hair and dress are so cool. I don't where dresses and I only put my hair in a pony but this I could where that.

Swords arent all that heavy. The average medieval sword weighed, what, four kg at the most ('bout 8 pounds). If you have a knight wearing forty pounds of armor and a twelve-pound sword, he'll get tired quickly. Swords are made as light as possible so they could be used effectively. Her ceremonial sword must be even lighter. I don't expect anything like that to weigh anything more than four pounds.

i really hope there are some parts in this game where you can go around as Zelda and use magic or her sword that she has right now. i've always pictured Zelda as a very powerful mage and i hope that nintendo pictures her that way too and makes her that way in this game. if we don't get to use her, hopefully we'll at least see a scene that she uses her sword or her magic to defeat something. *starts praying that the wish will come true*

This Zelda is as lovely as the OoT Adult one. I hope she will use that sword on her part, plus she's a lefty!!! (Me lefty too). Not all Hylians are lefty.

Just noticed... Her ears are bit different than Link's. I mean by this: her ears still look like the good old spearheads, whilst Link's ears look like pointy "human" ears. Compare the pick of link with this here pick and you'll see it too.

I cant see the difference between hers and Links ears, I find the both looking like Hylian ears?... But if you wanna go into details their ears looks smaller than the Hylian ears in Oot ( http://gallery.zeldalegends.net/displayimage.php?album=69&pos=26 ) But I just thing that is the design they choosen and has no meaning to the game whatsoever

I do not mean the length. I mean that the shape is slightly different with Link's ears. They're rounder at the base, like as if he isn't "pure" hylian. Zelda's ears might be a bit shorter than before, but they retain their speartip shape.
