Sure, it looks a bit cooler (with the emblem and all), but it doesn't look as sturdy as the ordon shield. Ordon shield was handmade and meant as a present to the royal court, this shield on the other hand is a massproduced (in medieval sense) piece.

That one's mass produced, the Ordon shield is one of a kind.

Y'know, when playing the game, this shield's emblem looks like it's over the entire front part of the shield. In fact, when I saw a video of Link wearing this shield, I didn't even know it was a wooden shield (from afar, I thought for a second that it may have been something like the mirror shield).
