This art is kinda reminisent of OoT with Link & Epona (Hero of Time and his steed). If you'd compare the two images you'd find that in OoT Link didn't make use of reins. The Hero of Time could have had a mental link (no pun) between himself and his horse. The current Link is an experienced horseman and the current Epona is "just another horse" (PLEASE don't get mad at me for that)

I don't want a wii it seems like a piece of junk so I preordered it for gamecube.

What is wrong with you...... Wii is great stuff. the ONLY problem i have with it is that the wiimote eats batteries like breakfast cereal.

Epona looks HUGE!

She does seem large for a mare, I think. Correct me if I'm wrong, though.

Epona is supposed to be a very large horse. =3 After all she can carry heavy logs, and two persons in the game quite easily.

Epona is even bigger than a WARHORSE! I always pictured her as a warhorse, but now she's like a carthorse, or smtn. Anyway a horse meant for work, not war or sport. Epona from OoT looked a lot like a Finnhorse, but THIS one might be too damn big, though it fills similar roles.

She's more of a carthorse than a warhorse as you just said, yet can move quickly over great distances. If Epona was any bigger she wouldn't be able to gallop as fast, but I think the artwork doesn't capture her true size very well (perspective).

I'm pretty sure that Epona is a clydesdale. She matches the traits pretty well like the tufted hair around the hooves.

Well, forgive me for being pernickety, but as she worked on a ranch, she probably WAS a carthorse... a really fast one that can also dodge enemies and charge down boars and their charges
