Perhaps it signifies his destiny. Although it seems kind of odd that the triforce mark would be there this early...we haven't even seen any info on the triforce in TP. Has it already been split?

The 'blank' Triforce means he must be destined to house the Triforce of Courage.

Yeah, I noticed the Triforce on his hand too. I guess he was born with that or something. He's playing Epona

but the triforce is whole it should be like one pice and two empty and also i hope that eponas song is the same

i think its cool he has it in the begining. at the end of OoT, when young link goes up to zelda in her courtyard, its on his hand there too.
